Iran: from 6.01 to 2.54 children per woman in just 10 years

    05195020231990

From 1986 to 1996 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: urban share 54.2% → 61.1% (1986–1996); life expectancy 62.1 years → 68.3 years (1986–1996). This does not establish a cause.
