   Singapore: from 6.12 to 3.22 children per woman in just 10 years

   From 1959 to 1969 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: life expectancy 65.6 years → 68.3 years (1960–1969). This does not establish a cause.
