Nicaragua: from 5.07 to 3.47 children per woman in just 10 years

    05195020231990

From 1987 to 1997 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: women’s university enrolment 7.7% → 11% (1987–1997); life expectancy 57.3 years → 65.5 years (1987–1997). This does not establish a cause.
