Libya: from 6.91 to 3.88 children per woman in just 10 years
From 1983 to 1993 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: urban share 74.3% → 82.9% (1983–1993); women’s university enrolment 4.2% → 14.4% (1983–1992); life expectancy 66.3 years → 70.2 years (1983–1993). This does not establish a cause.
