Jordan: from 6.01 to 4.11 children per woman in just 10 years
From 1988 to 1998 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: urban share 72.3% → 78.3% (1988–1998); women’s university enrolment 18.3% → 22.8% (1988–1997). This does not establish a cause.
