Italy, 2012–2022: fertility fell from 1.42 to 1.24, mostly in first birth rates
Per woman at that period's rates: first births 0.72 → 0.62, second 0.52 → 0.45, third and later 0.18 → 0.18; total 1.42 → 1.24. First children now come later (at 31.7 instead of 30.5). These series cannot separate postponement from births that will never occur.
