Burkina Faso: from 5.79 to 4.28 children per woman in just 10 years
From 2012 to 2022 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: women’s university enrolment 2.8% → 7.4% (2012–2022); life expectancy 57.5 years → 60.7 years (2012–2022). This does not establish a cause.
