Bahrain: from 6.28 to 4.60 children per woman in just 10 years
From 1971 to 1981 the number of children per woman fell faster than in any other decade since 1950. Around that period: women’s university enrolment 1.7% → 4.8% (1971–1981); life expectancy 65.3 years → 71 years (1971–1981). This does not establish a cause.
